And many, more - some of whom say here why they valued the About Turn experience…

About Turn gave me my first taste of professional theatre at the greatest festival in the world, the Edinburgh Fringe. My experiences with them led me to train at Bristol Old Vic and become an actor.

Simon Botterill, Actor

Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime (West End)

'About Turn gave me the opportunity to direct at the Edinburgh Festival for the first time in 2007. It provided me with invaluable experience which helped launch my directing career. The skills I acquired in co-producing and directing within such an exciting and vibrant environment as the Fringe, with the close support of Dan Hyde, gave me the confidence to co-found my own theatre company and take more shows to the Edinburgh and London Fringe. I am incredibly grateful to About Turn for the opportunity they gave me and can't recommend the company enough to young people wanting to break into the theatre industry.

Charlotte Peters, Director

Resident Director of Stephen Daldry's 'An Inspector Calls',  Director of 'By My Strength' for the Women and War Festival 2016.

I worked with About Turn for two consecutive summers. I found the experience to be an invaluable part of my musical education. Working with an international production team and cast was fantastic, and being part of something bigger- The Edinburgh Fringe Festival- meant that every day my artistic horizons were being challenged.

Kate Reynolds, Soprano

It was with About Turn at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2014 that I received my first public reviews as a soloist. The reviews were hugely positive for both me and the production and were a true testament to the professional and supportive nature of the company. The performance opportunities and exposure young singers acquire, as result of working with About Turn, is really special and arguably second to none. I developed many artistic skills whilst working with About Turn, many of which I use in my day-to-day life as a musician; flexibility (an essential quality for the modern artist), quickly adapting to new spaces and new acoustics, working as a team all whilst having great fun doing what I love.  Rachael Cox, Mezzo-Soprano

'About Turn gave me the opportunity, at a young age, to act and direct at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. A fantastic experience that spurred me on to pursue a career in the theatre. Their commitment to working with new talent each year makes them a wonderfully nurturing and supportive company and they consistently produce superb work. Phillip Scott-Wallace, Actor
